Editorial by Francesco Fiorentini – “We’ve reached 300… thousand!”

As you know, we don’t like to brag too much about RetroMagazine World’s achievements, but this time we want to make an exception.
We’ve been keeping an eye on the number of downloads for a while, and finally, the moment has arrived.
RetroMagazine World issues in Italian and English have been downloaded more than 300,000 times in total (actually it is almost 400.000 now!).
Of course, if we look at the number of views on YouTube, where some of our videos have well over a billion views, this number may seem insignificant, but for us at RetroMagazine World, and for me personally, it is a remarkable achievement that deserves to be celebrated. When we started this adventure in 2017, few believed that we would have the perseverance to carry on with a project of this magnitude. Instead, these numbers confirm how much good work has been done so far and how much more there is to do. Yes, because even though 300,000 downloads may seem like a lot, they are only a milestone on our journey, and we hope to achieve many more goals.
Ah, and there’s another consideration to add…
These are only the downloads we can count from our website, but since some sites mirror our numbers, the actual number of downloads is definitely higher. We don’t know how much higher, so to be fair, we always refer only to this data.
Obviously, our intention is not to chase numbers, otherwise we would have to and could adopt different strategies, but to offer each issue a wealth of quality content and passion that I believe all our loyal readers have come to know and love. However, the comfort of knowing that our passion is not an end in itself gives us the strength to continue working hard and to continue this magnificent adventure.
See you at the 500,000 download milestone, which we hope to double soon.
Oh, I almost forgot, a huge THANK YOU to all of you readers, without whom RetroMagazine World would be nothing more than a beautiful exercise in style.

Note: this editorial and all the contents were first released in Italian in April 2024 – ref. issue 47-IT
